Siberia
Since my day job is mixing foreign language films I have the opportunity to travel overseas to aid in recording vocal overdubs. I haven’t availed myself of this particular job perk yet but it looks like I will very soon. There is a language in southern Siberia that is being recorded and because of its remoteness they want the film mixed on the spot. So the people in Moscow have asked that I go along with the recordist so that I can mix it and do any corrections while we’re there.
This sounds like an adventure to me, never having traveled to Russia. The area is right where Mongolia, China and Kazakhstan come together. It’s pretty remote!
The time frame looks to be around July 15 or shortly after.
