I was scared of NYC growing up. It seemed to be the most evil, crime infested, dangerous place. And this from a kid from Detroit! Now though I understand that quote. And though I haven’t been too many times I feel some attachment. We were just asked to play The Kitting Factory this fall. I probably won’t get there again until then.
I’ve never been as a tourist, only to work. Maybe that is what makes the connection happen so fast; being there with a purpose to play a show together. Good times.
